Construction Information
The following is a description
of the standard materials used in the construction of Roberts
Jazz Guitars:
"My prime concern is to
work one on one with the client and together design and create
an instrument which is destined to become a timeless collector's
piece."
All instruments feature traditional
luthier construction methods and are tastefully appointed to meet
the performance goal of the client.
The back is carved and hand graduated
with select highly flamed Western big leaf maple with matching
sides.
Top is carved and hand graduated with
select aged Sitca or Ingleman spruce.
Neck is tastefully laminated with Eastern
Flamed maple.
Head stock is inlayed using mother of
pearl with namesake and split-block diamond logo. Gold Gotoh 16:1
gear ratio tuners.
Neo-classic ebony fingerboard.
Tailpiece made of solid ebony with sacconi
tail adjuster and mother-of-pearl diamond motif.
Finger rest is solid ebony with choice
of narrow or traditional shape.
Electronics consist of a Kent Armstrong
suspended HBER-PAF pickup with short profile volume knob mounted
on the finger rest.
Finish is Lawrence-McFadden lacquer,
the choice of natural, honey blonde (Add $100.00), sunburst (Add
